Paradise Bar and Restaurant - Long Beach, California

02 May, 2014

Paradise is a full bar and restaurant located on the Broadway Corridor in the heart of Long Beach, California. This unique establishment has been owned by Michael Barber for over ten years and has been a well-known landmark establishment since the 1980’s. It has been known by a variety of names such as “The Birds of Paradise,” “Paradise Café,” “Paradise Bar & Grill” and just simply “The Bird.”

Inside the newly remodeled interior space, you will find a modern chic style, intertwined with historical pieces from Old Long Beach, including the nearly 1,000 pound Falcon that once sat atop the flagpole at Cooper Arms, and the bar top, which came from a 1920’s Bank of American building.

Drag bingo, karaoke, sing-a-longs, acoustical, and club nights are just a few of the events that have been added to the wonderful line-up of national entertainers who have brought their musical talents to Paradise for many years.. The musical industry is something “The Bird” cherishes there at the Original Piano Bar that they once were. Charities and fundraising organizations have partnered up with Paradise throughout the years, offering fun and exciting ways to give back to the community.

The next time you’re in Long Beach, stop by Paradise for dinner, drinks and a night of entertainment.
